Incidents like this disrupt and interrupt our core values, and create harm to both the individual and the greater community. Incoming Workshop Facilitators are expected to attend a 2-day training retreat in September, facilitate 2-3 workshops per month, and attend monthly meetings. Please support the U-M Emergency Alert program by helping to promote its availability. When DPS determines there is an active emergency in which the public safety of the campus may be at risk, they can send an urgent notification through the UM Emergency Alert system (http://www.umemergencyalert.umich.edu/), which launched last March. To date, only 25% of students on the Ann Arbor campus and 26% of all faculty and staff have signed up for the service.
