UM ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUGS (AOD) POLICY
October 28, 2008 The University of Michigan strives to maintain a campus community free of the adverse effects from the misuse and abuse of alcohol and other drugs. The university has adopted a policy in support of the academic mission and in compliance with the Drug Free Schools and Campuses Act of 1989.

Please support the U-M Emergency Alert program by helping to promote its availability. When DPS determines there is an active emergency in which the public safety of the campus may be at risk, they can send an urgent notification through the UM Emergency Alert system (http://www.umemergencyalert.umich.edu/), which launched last March. To date, only 25% of students on the Ann Arbor campus and 26% of all faculty and staff have signed up for the service.
