Mission: The purpose of the AGS student chapter is to provide community service opportunities for medical students interested in helping the elderly and to expose and educate medical students on issues pertaining to geriatric medicine.
Programs: Flu shot clinic: Provide vaccinations to local seniors Med-shovelers: Shovel snow for seniors in the community after each snowfall Senior Health Fair: Provide information, health screenings, etc VA Hospital Volunteering: Weekly visits to a patient for the duration of the patient's admission Shadowing/Physician Mentor: Connect with physicians in the field of Geriatrics Lunch seminars: Speakers invited to give talks on a variety of topics related to Geriatric medicine
