Mission: The Quito Project is a group of UofM faculty and students of all disciplines, including medicine, social work, public health, and liberal arts. We travel to Quito, Ecuador every summer to run a free health clinic, tutor children, perform public health and social work services, and other services that vary each year. Our aim is to improve the health and well-being in the underserved communities of Quito.
Programs: We organize and run a free walk-in health clinic during the summer in an impoverished area of Quito, Ecuador. We also run a tutoring program for children in the community and public health and social work graduate students provide services to the community as well.
