Islamic Relations Council Constitution

Preamble

Islamic Relations Council seeks to build and sustain the positive relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims, through constructive and dynamic mediums. Da`wah (summons) is understood in its most general context, that is, to simply strengthen Islam through the act of summoning. This entails calling upon both Muslims and non-Muslims to be more conscious regarding their deen (God, moral character, etc.) and dunya (environment, intercultural issues, social justice, etc.). In doing so, we do not preach, but rather we both learn and teach through dialogue. The first people we call to are ourselves. The IRC will also seek to network with other student organizations with similar goals in order to build collaborative efforts.
