MichKnit Constitution

Preamble

The mission of MichKnit is to promote knitting on campus in a fun way which is beneficial to the community. We will donate our knitting projects and knit for other philanthropic means. Anoyone is welcome, and we encourage everyone who is new to the hobby to join.

Article I. Name

MichKnit is our group name.

Article II. Purpose

Our purpose is to better our knitting skills, teach others to knit and to donate items we knit.

Article III. Membership

Section 1.

Any university member is eligible for membership.

Section 2.

To become a member, one can email the Officers or simply come to a meeting.

Section 3.

One is free to withdrawl whenever.

Article IV. Officers

Section 1.

There are three Officers as of 2008. They each hold titles of Co-President, and duties are equally divided .

Section 2.

The Officers will decide on excecutive committees when they feel it necessary to expand leadership.

Officers remain in their position until graduation or withdrawl form the group.

We will request funds from university organizations to finance MichKnit.

An Officer can be expelled from their position if voted upon by the other two Officers for any substantial reason.
