Global Access Constitution

Preamble

Global Access strives to provide international students with a spiritual home away from home at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Article I. Name

Global Access.

Article II. Purpose

Global Access exists to serve the international student body here at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor by providing them with a spiritual atmosphere where they can come and learn about God, and acts as a support group for internationals by helping them negotiate through the challenges that they face during their time here.

Article III. Membership

Section 1.

Anyone is eligible. There are no restrictions.

Section 2.

Anyone can become a member by attending any of our meetings on a regular basis. Members are identified when they take part in Global Access events.

Section 3.

Anyone can withdraw membership without questions asked.

Article IV. Officers

Section 1.

There are 10 officers. They do not have titles. Their duties includes administrative, financial and logistical aspects of the organization.

Section 2.

The officers constitute an executive committee.

Section 3.

Article V. Operations

Section 1.

Any member can be eligible for office.

Section 2.

Officers are elected into the executive committee by invitation only. It is determined by general consensus from the current executive committee during the monthly meeting. Elections are held at the beginning of each school semester. Officers are elected to replace officers who are stepping down from the executive committee.

Section 3.

Officers assume their positions approximately two weeks into the new school semester.

Article VI. Finances

Section 1.

Global Access will finance its activities with funds provided from the sponsor church that it is affiliated to.

Section 2.

The leading officer is responsible for the organization's Finances.

Article VII. Amendments

Section 1.

Amendments can be proposed during the monthly meeting.

Section 2.

Any of the officers can propose an amendment.

Section 3.

There is no need to set an amount of time before an amendment could be bought forth. Amendments will be decided on by general consensus of the current executive committee.

Article VIII. Registration Renewal

Section 1.

Registration renewal is to be done before the end of april evey year.

Article IX. Removal of Membership
