Students for Choice-Vox Constitution
Preamble
Students for Choice educated the University of Michigan campus community about reproductive rights and related issues.
Article I. Name
Students for Choice
Article II. Purpose
Students for Choice is a political organization dedicated to providing a voice for choice on campus. The group was founded with the intent of raising awareness about challenges to reproductive rights.
Article III. Membership
Section 1.

Any University of Michigan student.
Section 2.

One becomes a member by attending a meeting and/or participating in or helping to organize events.
Section 3.

Membership may be withdrawn at any time without penalties.
Article IV. Officers
Section 1.

There are 5 officers currently but at least 3 are necessary. Treasurer is the only designated title.
Section 2.

Officers constitute an exectutive board that oversees the organization.
Section 3.

There is no advisor.
Article V. Operations
Section 1.

Any current member who has been involved with the organization for at least one school year is elligible.
Section 2.

Interested parties submit a personal bio and reasons for interest in position. Group votes on candidates at the meeting in April.

Officers assume positions at close of previous academic year.

Article VI. Finances
Section 1.

Our activities are financed through fundraisers and BCP funding.
Section 2.

Treasurer.
Article VII. Amendments
Section 1.

Amendments should be submitted to the executive board for approval.
Section 2.

Members of the organization.
Section 3.

We don't need time before bringing forth an amendment. It can be voted on at the next meeting.
Article VIII. Registration Renewal
Section 1.

May 31st is our organization's renewal date.
Article IX. Removal of Membership
Section 1.

Officers shall be removed for failure to show dedication to the choice cause and failure to reguarly attend events and meetings.
Section 2.

Officers will be voted out at meetings after executive board members agree on a necessary vote.
Section 3.

Members shall be removed if they continually engage in disruptive behavior at meetings to fail to respect the Students for Choice mission.
Section 4.

Executive board members can vote out said disruptive members.
