Encore Constitution

Preamble

EnCore is a family united through a common love of dance and each other. Our goal is to break down social and cultural boundaries while promoting diversity.

Article I. Name

EnCore

Article II. Purpose

The goal of this group is to break down the social and cultural boundaries that are present on campus even today. We promote the arts and diversity.

Article III. Membership

Section 1.

There are no restrictions to membership, everyone is eligible.

Section 2.

One becomes a member by auditioning either in the fall or spring term.

Section 3.

Voluntary withdrawal is always an option, there isn't a formalized membership process.

Article IV. Officers

Section 1.

We have a group of people ( 2 or 3) called "core" members who act as officers sharing equal part in all responsabilities.

Section 2.

There is no executive committee.

Section 3.

We do not have an advisor.

Article V. Operations

Section 1.

Anyone in the group is eligible to run for a core position.

Section 2.

Core members are chosen at the end of each year. They are questioned in an interview style format on why they would like to be a core member and then the other members of the group discuss and vote on the next three core members.

Section 3.

At the start of each year core members assume their new position.

Section 4.

Article VI. Finances

Section 1.

We finance our organization through donations and school funding only.

Section 2.

One core member is responsible for all finances.

Article VII. Amendments

Section 1.

Amendements may be proposed at any Encore meeting.

Section 2.

Any member of the group can propose them.

Section 3.

There is no set time on bringing forth amendments. The whole dance group votes.

Article VIII. Registration Renewal

Section 1.

Article IX. Removal of Membership

Section 1.

Core members are only removed if absolutely necessary and will be voted on by the whole group.

Section 2.

It lies in the decision of the whole group.

Section 3.

Members shall only be removed if they are a serious problem to the organization.

Section 4.

Core members will be in charge of any removal.
